SUMMARY:Booming Ice Chasm with potentially a sprinkle of Glittering Ice Pal
 ace (Upper Century)
DESCRIPTION:The plan is to do Booming Ice Chasm both main branches with fix
 ed lines going down and depending on the group and gear maybe explore some
  of the little climbs. If time permits we can also check out the Glitterin
 g Ice Palace (Upper Century) but this will very much depend on time and in
 terest. The day will be starting at the Emerald Lake Parking at 7:00am to 
 organize vehicles and gear. Everyone who joins will need their own full SR
 T kit including descenders and ascenders as well as crampons and mountaine
 ering boots no rubber boot micro spikes will be allowed. If you are also i
 nterested in exploring some of the climbs then technical axes with a dynam
 ic rope will be needed. If you have a 60m  section of rope or less\, 11mm 
 or less semi-static or static rope and you want it to be used then feel fr
 ee to bring it and we will decide on the ropes on the day. Other than this
  you will need normal caving gear (coveralls\, knee pads\, gloves and a he
 lmet with 3 sources of light). All of your gear will also need to be clean
 ed to the newest WNS cleaning specifications. IF IT IS NOT YOU WILL NOT CO
 ME. Everyone will also need food and water and outdoor clothing for the da
 y. If you don't own your own crampons and boots there are many good places
  in Calgary and Canmore that rent them. It is also a steepish 2hour approa
 ch so be ready to get a workout in as well. But come one come all for some
  fun underground in a beautiful ice palace :)
